The sultry chanteuse channels the golden era of jazz queens with a modern, feminist twist, fronting one of the world's top bands for classic American jazz, swing, blues, R&B, and New Orleans music from the mid-20th century. Expect gems from the songbooks ofCount Basie, Dinah Washington, Bessie Smith, and Little Esther Phillips.

Her all-star bandmates have played with legends like Ray Charles, Etta James, Frank Sinatra, and Santana, and the group is the most-booked act in SFJAZZ history.

Proceeds from the Marin Jazz series benefit the Lark'sKids After School Theatre Programs.
