An informational community event “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” presented by the Lower Chapman Park Neighborhood Response Group.
The event will be held Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Corte Madera Recreation Center on Tamalpais.
Outreach to discuss and introduce... During a major earthquake, Marin’s first responders will be overwhelmed. Residents should therefore be prepared to help one another for at least five to seven days following a disaster.

- Meet neighborhood volunteers who are prepared to assist during a disaster, including Block Captains and members of the Medical, Incident Command, and Steering Committee teams.
- Receive an update on current wildfire information from Central Marin Fire.
- Enjoy a social gathering with their children and neighbors.
- Have complimentary pizza, drinks, and sweets.
