Venue Details: The Exhibit Hall offers 22,500 square feet on one level and can be partitioned for a variety of uses. With space for 105 booths, the Hall hosts the major trade, consumer, and exhibit shows presented in Marin County. The Hall also seats up to 1,000 for luncheons and dinners; and with the addition of the portable stage, is available for dinner-dances, corporate parties, and special events.

Marin County Farm Day is a free, public springtime event that invites Northern California’s ranchers, farmers, producers, and educators to inspire young minds about the magic of farming and where our food comes from. This annual celebration connects students and community members with local farms, food systems, and hands-on learning experiences. A coalition of farm groups work together to share the importance of agriculture and farming in Marin County. More than 30 exhibitors provide hands-on interactive activities targeted for elementary school youth.
As part of Marin County Farm Day, "Barnyard Stars, Harvest Stripes & Farm Stories" Art, Writing & Video contest is open to all Marin County Classrooms, Pre-K to 3rd grade.
Contest Instructions:
▪ Artwork Entries: is a class project.
▪ Artwork may be a single grade or multiple grade level project.
▪ Artwork is completed on a 2’ x 2’ piece of paper. Finished project will be inserted into a quilt layout and displayed at Farm Day and at the Marin County Fair in July, 2026.
▪ Artwork must be a drawing, painting, or collage.
▪ Artwork should reflect this year’s theme “Farm Stories”
▪ Written entries: must be individually written & must include Age, Grade & School
▪ Video Entries: Each classroom may submit one video entry. Students may visit a local farm and create video submissions. The teacher will select one video from the class to enter the contest.
Entries must be received by March 2, 2026.
