Meet at the Hillside picnic area in McInnis Park in San Rafael (310 Smith Ranch Rd). From Hwy 101 in San Rafael, take the Smith Ranch Rd exit east approximately 0.7 miles. Drive over the railroad tracks and immediately turn left to stay on Smith Ranch Rd. (If you go through the park entrance, you have gone too far). Look for the "Hillside Picnic Area” sign and turn right (parking is immediately on the right).

Presented by North Marin Community Services and the City of Novato, this free, family-friendly fair will feature food, fun, and resources on how you can improve your home energy efficiency, save on utility bills, and make the switch to efficient-electric appliances. 

There will be live demonstrations of induction cooking, feature a professional chef, electric vehicles, zero-emissions landscaping equipment, and more!

Join Ranger Gabe and the Marin Stargazers at the Mount Burdell Open Space Preserve for an evening of stargazing. Objects that will be on display are a 5-day-old Moon, Mars, the colorful double stars Algieba and Cor Caroli, the Beehive cluster, the intriguing globular cluster M3 and we’ll dive deep into space to look at the distant Sombrero galaxy. Please dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes, bring a red flashlight and binoculars if you have them. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel.  Check the calendar or call (415) 473-2816 two hours before the event to confirm the status. Registration is required.
